The ongoing tussle between the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) and the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) has been one long drawn - out battle that is simply refusing to burn out. It has gotten uglier than ever and FEFSI will go on strike officially from April 7th. Not only shooting but post production activities will also be stalled.
The already beleaguered Tamil film industry is reeling under the impact as work has been delayed already and heavy losses sustained with many big and small films delayed. The TFPC is refusing to take this new move lying down and they are going to resume work on their films with the new union for employees that has been set up. It is expected that the Tamil Nadu government will step in to resove the issue once and for all.
