Music director Sundar C Babu’s mother Sudhakshina Devi passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday evening (5 April, 2011). She was the widow of late Chitti Babu, the renowned Veena expert. Sudhakshina Devi was herself an acclaimed Veena player and has accompanied her husband to several concerts in the past. She is survived by three sons Rangasayee, Radha Krishnan and Sundar C Babu.
