Comedian Santhanam has been afflicted with a condition known in these parts as “Periammai”, that is, his body is being possessed by the Goddess Amman. In medical terms, there is a simpler explanation- he has been diagnosed with chicken pox. The actor has been confined to bed and is not in a fit state to work. This has disrupted his shooting schedule as he has key roles to play in movies like Oru Kal Oru Kannadi.
Santhanam has a busy schedule as he has become very popular and is currently working on a number of projects. This condition usually takes about 25 days to run its course. So the producers are in a state of despair. Shooting has been stalled in a number of films in progress. We wish the loveable comedian a speedy recovery and hope he will be able to resume working soon.
