“FILMS ARE EASIER THAN TELEVISION SERIALS”
The music of the film Sabash Sariyaana Potti directed by Venu Arvind, a Television cum film artist, was launched at Prasad studios, Chennai. This film has Jayaram and a new find Sriram in pivotal roles. Three songs were played which appeared to be of spoof genre.

One song portrayed the affection between a mother and a son which changed to friendship and finally the song shifted to the love between a couple. The second song was a typical action hero worship kind which was hilarious. A hero who question injustices and who helps old ladies slash jackfruits and sends the cut pieces straight into the gaping mouths was shown in a very hilarious manner.

Director Balu Mahendra said that Venu Arvind appears to have understood the pulse of the audience and stated that he would get what he sought for. Director Vetrimaaran released a song and wished the film all success. Devayani expressed her long standing friendship with Venu Arvind and assured him that the film would be successful. Devayani’s husband Rajkumar released one song.

According to director Venu Aravind who got up to speak, this film is indeed a spoof but is not aimed at hurting anybody’s feelings. “SSP is an enjoyable film. I have just said that dreams do come true. LOL is the theme”, he furthered.

Although he is predominantly associated with television, Venu opines that it is difficult to direct in television as the medium is very tough where one needs to work daily on different climaxes and strategies. He concluded that film direction is much easier than television direction and there is more freedom there.
