Virat Kohli, who was the captain of the Bangalore Royal Challengers team, announced his resignation during the last IPL series. Following this, Du Plessis from South Africa was appointed as the captain of the team.
Similarly, Dhoni, who was the captain of the Chennai Super Kings team, has announced that he will hand over the responsibility to Ravindra Jadeja. Dhoni has been the captain of the Chennai team since the inception of the IPL in 2008.
