Following the Russian military attack on a theater in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Government has released photos of the theater.
Attack
The Russian military is attacking Ukraine in all ways, including ground, air and artillery. The Ukrainian Government has accused the Russians of destroying the country's construction facilities. Intense fighting is going on between the Russian army and the Ukrainian security forces in Kharkiv, Mariupol and the capital Kiev.
Theater
Civilians and children had taken refuge in a theater in the city of Mariupol, which had been badly damaged by the Russian attack. The Ukrainian Government says the theater was bombed and destroyed by Russian forces. The Russian military has denied the allegations, saying it did not attack any civilian areas.
Children
The Ukrainian Government says hundreds of Ukrainian people have fled their homes and taken refuge in the theater due to the ongoing war. The Government has also released a photo of the front and back gates of the building with the word "children" that is visible from a helicopter.
What was the condition of those staying inside the theater that were completely damaged by the bombing? The world is anxiously questioning that.
War crime
On his Twitter page, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said, "Another horrendous war crime in Mariupol. Massive Russian attack on the Drama Theater where hundreds of innocent civilians were hiding. The building is now fully ruined. Russians could not have not known this was a civilian shelter. Save Mariupol! Stop Russian war criminals!"
Ukraine's Foreign Minister has shared on his Twitter page with a photo of the theater taken before and after the bombing. These photos are currently going viral on social media.
