“I ran out of milk, and I needed it for my morning coffee,” the lucky winner told officials at the South Carolina Education Lottery. The man was reportedly on his way out of a Food Lion store in Chester county when he looked over at the customer service counter and noticed a Powerball ticket for the May 14 draw. That’s when he decided to buy it.
But little did he know what awaited him. When the man looked up his ticket number the next day, he had become a millionaire (x2) or a crorepati, times 15.
According to reports, he won a lottery ticket worth about Rs 15 crore in India. The person who won the prize said, "I was gone for a minute. At the same time, I'm very excited. This is a huge amount. All because of the milk I needed for coffee as it ran out at home."
The lottery ticket company has also posted the news on their social media pages. The man who went to buy milk got a prize of Rs 15 crore when he picked up the lottery ticket and turned into a millionaire, much to the surprise of many.
