The discovery of gold on a shipwreck centuries ago has come as a surprise.
The San Jose Gallion sailed from the Caribbean port of Colombia in 1708. Unexpectedly, the ship sank at sea. The ship is said to have carried billions of gold coins and valuables.
As various parties continue to try to figure this out, it has now been reported that the Colombian Navy has discovered it. Two other large ships are said to have sunk nearby.
It has been reported that the Colombian navy, which inspected the contents of the ship, has confirmed the presence of gold coins in the photograph. Archaeologists are still struggling to gather enough evidence before reaching the final conclusions about the location of the sinking ship.
Its current value is said to be several hundred crores. In this case, the Colombian navy is actively involved in rescuing the ship.
