Giving in to pressure, Robert Mugabe, President of Zimbabwe tendered his resignation on Tuesday, thereby ending a 37-year rule. Mugabe, 93, is the world’s oldest head of state and one of Africa’s longest-serving leaders. His resignation came shortly after lawmakers began impeachment proceedings against him.
