A shocking video is currently going viral, where a mother woodpecker came face to face with a 10-foot long snake to save her eggs. This video has caught everyone's eye and has also become the talk of the town.
According to NDTV reports, this video was captured 11 years ago in Peru. But recently it went viral after it was shared by Indian Forest Services officer Susanta Nanda on his social media handle.
Nanda, shared the video and captioned it saying, "All the forces on this planet, will never beat that of a mothers love. Woodpecker saving its chicks after a fierce air duel with the snake."
In the video, which is currently making headlines the woodpecker can be seen fighting with the snake which emerged from a hole in a tree. The bird is repeatedly attacking the reptile while saving its eggs. It also gets bitten by the snake during the fight.
Despite getting bitten and stung, the bird, who falls to the ground flies up again and fights back to get her eggs.
As per Metro News, this scene was captured in 2009 by an Israeli tourist, who has been identified as Assaf Admoni. He caught this sight during a holiday to Peru. This video has received 8 million views on YouTube.
