WATCH - RUNNER CRAWLS TO FINISH LINE DESPITE FRACTURED FOOT

In an awe-inspiring incident, a 19-year-old female runner was seen crawling to the finish line after fracturing her foot.

Japanese runner Rei Lida fractured her leg while taking part in the 2.2-mile section of a marathon relay. However, Lida refused to give up and was seen crawling the final 200 metres of the race on her hands and knees. From the video of the race that went viral, Lida's teammate can be seen waiting with tears in her eyes as Lida crawls towards her.

The video of the race went viral on social media. People lauded Lida's determined attitude during the race. Lida was taken to the hospital where doctors ruled her out of action for the next four months.
