Describing it a “strong message” to the world, the United States on Friday officially told the United Nations that it wants to pull out of the 2015 Paris climate pact. However, the announcement doesn’t formally start the process of the U.S. pulling out of the voluntary agreement. President Donald Trump’s administration in June decided to leave the accord.
