University of Oulu apologises for poster likened to porn site ad.

The University of Oulu, one of the largest universities in Finland, has apologized for a poster promoting a China exchange program with a poster allegedly resembling an advertisement in a popular porn site. The poster featuring a young Asian woman showing shoulder in a grey tank top sparked outrage online.


The poster, an advertisement for a summer study abroad program at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE), was spotted on the campus bulletin board at the university. The poster allegedly resembled a porn advertisement from adult site PornHub, showing a similar tank topped woman in an “Asian lady” hookup advert.


UO released a statement apologizing for the poster, saying it had been designed by a student and had not been approved by the university.
