July 14, 2019 will be the most remarkable and memorable day for all sports fan. This day marked the finals of two most popular tournaments of cricket and tennis. These final matches had produced nail-biting finishes and moments.
Talking on the first match, the tennis side- 32-year-old Serbian star Novak Djokovic defeated champion Roger Federer to win his fifth Grand Slam title. It was for the first time in Wimbledon, that the winner was decided by a tie-breaker, also the match was the longest Wimbledon final in history that created a huge record.
The same situation happened on the cricket field during the New Zealand vs England game. The finals ended in a tie where the super-over had to decide the fate. England got lucky as they scored a number of boundaries that saw them emerging victorious in the ICC World Cup 2019 final at Lord’s.
As fans were eagerly waiting for the results, a Twitter conversation between Wimbledon and ICC made everyone's day. "Hello @ICC - how are you coping your end?#Wimbledon #CWC19Final," read Wimbledon's tweet. Without much delay, ICC responded saying, "Things are a bit hectic here right now, we'll get back to you 😅#CWC19 | #Wimbledon | #CWC1FINAL." (sic)

Later after the finals were announced, ICC tweeted again saying, "Right...Couldn't have been a crazier day for sport in London! What do we suggest people do tomorrow? 😉#CWC19 | #Wimbledon." (sic). This conversation between the official handle won hearts all across the globe.

Djokovic defeated Roger Federer by 7-6, 1-6, 7-6, 4-6, 13-12 in the Wimbledon 2019 finals while England against New Zealand in the super over.
The day just didn't end with that but also brought Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton his victory at the British Grand Prix. He became the most successful driver at the event with his sixth win.
