US President Donald Trump has fired US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. In a tweet, Donald Trump has said that Mike Pompeo, Director of the CIA will replace him as Secretary of State. Further, he thanked Tillerson for his services and stated Pompeo would be the first woman chosen to hold the position.

Mike Pompeo, Director of the CIA, will become our new Secretary of State. He will do a fantastic job! Thank you to Rex Tillerson for his service! Gina Haspel will become the new Director of the CIA, and the first woman so chosen. Congratulations to all!
