THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE RUN TO CHINA'S YELLOW MOUNTAIN SOON AFTER LOCKDOWN LIFTED
Home > News Shots > WorldHours after the Chinese government lifted the travel ban and other restrictions in the country due to coronavirus spread, popular tourists sites were crowded with people especially the Huangshan, which is famously known as Yellow Mountain, located in Anhui province.
Images from the Huangshan mountain on Saturday April 4 showed thousands of people, many wearing face masks and visiting the site.
Due to the rush, the authorities had to issue a notice declaring that the park had reached its 20,000 person daily capacity, and would not be accepting any more visitors. This mountain has been a tourist attraction because of its spectacular peaks, odd-shaped rocks, seas of cloud and hot springs.
As per a CNN report, from Wuhan, the epicenter of COVID-19 in China, Huangshan is around 500 km away. Meanwhile, Chinese health authorities had reported 30 new coronavirus cases on Sunday.
