Home > News Shots > WorldFans woke up to a shocking news where, Hollywood actor Tom Hanks and his actress wife Rita Wilson have been tested positive for coronavirus. The couple is in Australia at present and will now be isolated and monitored.
The actor took to social media and broke the news on Twitter. Tom Hanks said that he and his wife came down with a fever while in Australia.
"We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive," he wrote on his social media handle. His post came along with a photo of a surgical glove inside a trash bag.
"What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks' will be tested observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?" the actor further wrote.
Tom Hanks, has become the first major Hollywood star to open up about the affected virus. The couple is in Australia, where Tom Hanks was working on a film about the life of Elvis Presley. The actor, is essaying the role of Elvis Presley's manager Colonel Tom Parker in the untitled biopic. The film is directed by Baz Luhrmann, which is scheduled to hit theatres on October, 2021.
