Shocking visuals have emerged online, showing a 15-year-old schoolboy pointing a gun at his teacher's head at a school in France.

In the video, the teenager was filmed shouting 'put your head down' as if he is about to execute the woman in the clip. The teacher was forced to carry out the boy's instructions as he pointed the gun at her head.

Footage of the incident was posted on social media, and soon went viral, causing shock and outrage across the country. French President Emmanuel Macron stepped in, asking his interior ministry to 'take all measures to ensure that what happened is punished, and that this type of behaviour is permanently banned from schools'.

The teacher went on to report the boy, who later surrendered at a police station. The boy appealed before the judge, saying that it was a fake gun and that he was simply joking, with no intent to intimidate the teacher. Despite the claim, the student is now facing a jail sentence.
