At least two people were killed, and seven others injured when a strong earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale hit Indonesia on Friday. The US Geological Survey said the quake was centred in Cipatujah, in the western part of Java. A Tsunami alert was issued, which was later lifted. Reports say a few hundred homes and buildings were destroyed or damaged.
