Vladimir Putin wins by huge margin in Russian election

Vladimir Putin, who secured a highly expected victory in the presidential race, will lead Russia for the next six years. Alexei Navalny, the main opposition leader was barred from contesting in the election. After he secured more than 70% of the vote, Putin met reporters where he said, “People have recognised the achievements of the last few years”.
