A 41-year-old father has written 26 manuscripts and has published eight books in a period of five years after beginning to write stories for his daughter. Chen Chunren in China wrote stories for his daughter, an avid reader, as he couldn't afford to keep buying her books.
He reportedly said, “ "I used to spend 400 yuan ($60) a month buying her books, which was a large sum of money for me since my salary was only 1,800 yuan ($272).” Chen, a village doctor, said he took to writing because his daughter’s voracious reading habits were getting quite expensive.
Chen's daughter said the books are a hit with all of her classmates. “They are all his fans. They find the stories fascinating,” she reportedly said.
