SENIOR LEADER PUSHES, PUNCHES JOURNALIST ON LIVE TV SHOW: VIDEO GOES VIRAL!

During a live television talk show, a senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Masroor Ali Sial, physically attacked senior journalist and president of Karachi Press Club Imtiaz Khan Faran on Monday night.

The video of the incident went viral on social media. Netizen criticized the leader and also slammed him for behaving in such a way.

According to Indian Express report, in the video, Sial and Faran are seen engaging in a heated debate on 'News Line with Aftab Mugheri' show before the PTI leader from Karachi stands up and pushes the journalist to the floor and starts punching him. As the fight turned fierce, the other guests on the show and the crew on the set had to intervene and separate the two.

Freelance Pakistan-based journalist Naila Inayat shared a video of the incident and said, "Is this Naya Pakistan? PTI's Masroor Ali Siyal attacks president Karachi press club Imtiaz Khan on live news show."

Meanwhile, Wasay Jalil, member of the 'Voice of Karachi', a US-based advocacy group for the rights of Urdu-speaking people of Karachi, wrote, "Few days back #PTI 's Fawad Ch slapped Sami Abraham & now Dr Mansoor Sial thrashing Sr Journalist Imtiaz Faran in a talk show in Karachi." Jalil captioned his post saying, "Unbelievable!!!!"

Media reports say that, Faran was elected as the president of Karachi Press Club last year in December.
