A man, convicted of murdering his ex-wife, and now serving sentence in prison, led the police to the spot where he buried her body - all in exchange for an Xbox.
Doug Stewart, a US military veteran was arrested in June 2010 on charges of pre-mediated murder of his estranged wife Venus. She went missing in 2010 and no one had any clue of her whereabouts or her remains.
On October 22, 2018, Doug agreed to lead police officials to the spot where he buried Venus in exchange for an Xbox. Doug was convicted of killing his wife in 2011, and is serving life sentence in prison since then.
Venus's body was buried in a five-feet deep hole near her parents home, where she was last seen. The Department of Correction agreed to his request because they wanted a closure of this case and give justice to her family. However, the Xbox will not be connected to the internet and the inmates and Doug will be allowed to play only sports games in a stretch of thirty minutes.
According to reports in M Live, Doug not only asked for Xbox, he demanded more things but was denied.
