In a shocking case, a man blew up his car and ended up damaging the vehicle after he sprayed air freshener inside his car before lighting a cigarette. This incident took place in United Kingdom's Halifax city.
After the explosion, the man has sustained minor injuries. According to the Fox News report, West Yorkshire Police said that the driver had not ventilated his car after spraying “excessive” amounts of air freshener.
Seconds later, he lit a cigarette, which totally caused the fumes to ignite. “The fumes exploded and blew out his windscreen, along with some windows at nearby business premises. The owner fortunately sustained only minor injuries but this could have been worse," Police said.
Further giving advise on car air freshener, police warned users to follow guidelines and keep them away from fire as they are extremely flammable.
Fountian Street in Halifax was closed due to an explosion involving a car on Saturday afternoon, 14th Dec.
Excessive use of an air freshener was the cause. When the driver lit a cigarette the outcome was dramatic. pic.twitter.com/wfk00bf0GG
