Japan which became the victim of world’s first nuclear bombing, marked 72 years since USA’s horrific atom bomb strike in the city of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. The bombings claimed the lives of 140,000 people in Hiroshima and 74,000 people in Nagasaki, which was bombed three days later by the US forces. Some died immediately while others succumbed to injuries or radiation-related illnesses weeks, months and years later.
