Indian-origin man, Ramesh Krishnan, has received a compensation of over $2.9 million from his ex-employer in Singapore for writing a bad reference that had cost him a job opportunity. Krishnan lost the suit in Singapore high court in 2015 but the Court of Appeal later ruled in his favour claiming the company breached its 'duty of care' to him.
