Honeymoon is the best time or period for a newly married couple. They don't only make memories but learn and understand each other better.
But unfortunately, this honeymoon turned out ugly for a US couple identified as Clay and Acaimie. On the fateful day, the newly-wed husband fell into a dormant volcano while they were hiking on the Caribbean island of St Kitts. The incident happened on July 18, days after their wedding in Crawfordsville Indiana.
Shocked and scared wife didn't know what to do, rather gathered courage and climbed down to reach him. She also helped drag him out of the volcano.
Sharing details about the fateful day to CBS TV network, Clay said "my wife is absolutely incredible. Her being able to carry me all the way down a volcano when I can barely stand up is amazing and it's definitely nothing short of a miracle."
Further highlighting over the incident, Clay said, after hiking to the top of Mt Liamuiga; he wanted to climb down into the volcano for a better view. Meanwhile, Acaimie, who is afraid of heights, decided to stay back on the top. But in no time, she heard a loud noise and felt like a huge boulder rolling down the hill. She hurried down and found her husband lying on the ground with blood pouring from his head. She then tried her best; not just dragged but even carried her husband to the base that took them three long hours.
After visiting a doctor, they got to know that, Clay is leaking cerebral spinal fluid through his nose, but has no broken bones in any part of his body. He only had a skull fracture and cracked vertebrae.
Days after the incident, Clay took to Facebook and wrote about the incident. He also thanked people for their prayers.
