Popular web-based hosting service provider, GitHub, revealed that it was hit by one of the 'largest cyber attack in the history'. The hub was reportedly bombarded with fake traffic at 1.35 terabits per second on February 28, putting the confidentiality and data of GitHub's 28 million users at risk. GitHub said it was the world's biggest distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack. GitHub is most commonly used by computer coders for open-source projects and it is considered as the largest host of source code in the world.
