Hours after US President Donald Trump, visited a Ford Motor Co. plant, photo of him wearing a face mask during a visit in Michigan has going viral.
In a video, the US president can be seen wearing a navy blue mask. These images have emerged after a state attorney general called Trump a “petulant child”. This statement comes after Trump allegedly refused to wear the mask during a tour.
When Trump visited reporters, he was surrounded by Ford executives who were wearing masks, he said; “I had one on before. I wore one in the back area. I didn’t want to give the press the pleasure of seeing it."
When media asked the Ford executive chairman, Bill Ford, whether Trump was told it was acceptable not to wear a mask in the plant, he said: “It’s up to him.” As the company had prior told them to wear a mask at the factory.
Currently, the US death toll surpassed 94,000 and there are more than 1.5 m confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the country. Check out the photo below:
