A 25-year-old man identified by only his surname Chen was detained and fined at the Mianyang airport in the southwestern province of Sichuan, China, after he opened the emergency exit of a plane after feeling reportedly “stuffy”. Chen was detained for 15 days for the unauthorised removal of aviation facilities and fined 70,000 yuan to cover the unidentified airline's costs, reports the South China Morning Post.
