US President Donald Trump has dismissed fears that he might not leave office willingly if he lost the presidential election in November, but said if he failed to win, "it would be a very bad thing for the country".
"Certainly, if I don't win, I don't win," Mr Trump told Fox News in an interview. If he does not win the election, Mr Trump continued, "you go on, do other things."
In the presidential election scheduled for November, Mr Trump, who reprsents the Republic Party, is expected to face the Democratic Party's presumptive candidate Joe Biden who was also the Vice-President during Obama's stint.
Unfortunately for Mr Trump, he is in danger of being overwhelmed by cascading disasters: the COVID-19 pandemic, an economic slump and the unrest following the killing of George Floyd.
