In a severe criticism against e-commerce giant Amazon, US President Donald Trump on Wednesday took to Twitter to accuse the firm of doing “great damage” to retailers and causing job losses. With this single tweet, Trump briefly wiped around $5.7bn off the stock market valuation of Amazon on Wednesday, as the shares of the company fell 0.3 % to $980.
Amazon is doing great damage to tax paying retailers. Towns, cities and states throughout the U.S. are being hurt - many jobs being lost!
