In a tragic case, eight Indian tourists, including four children were found dead in a hotel room in Nepal. According to news agency PTI, the family died on Tuesday after they fell unconscious due to a gas leak in their room at a resort in Nepal.
Meanwhile, the Himalayan Times report that the deceased; two couples and four children, were part of a group of 15 people who were travelling from Kerala to Pokhara. Which is a popular mountainous tourist destination. They all have been identified as Prabin Kumar (39), Saranya (34), Ranjith Kumar T. B. (39), Indu Ranjith (34), Sree Bhadra (9), Abhinav Surya (9), Abhi Nair (7) and Vaishnav Ranjith (2).
After initial investigations, Superintendent of Police Sushil Singh Rathaur said, that the Indian nationals were airlifted to HAMS hospital where they were pronounced dead on arrival. The group of people were on they way back home when they decided to stay at Everest Panorama Resort in Daman in Makawanpur district.
When media spoke to manager, he said the guests who arrived at the resort turned on a gas heater to keep themselves warm. All the windows and the door of the room were bolted from inside.
Police also suspect that the family might have died due to lack of ventilation.
