Researchers from the University of Tasmania and the UK’s Royal Society for the Protection of Birds have reportedly found Henderson Island in the Pacific Ocean, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to be one of the world's most polluted islands. Nearly 38 million pieces of plastic, weighing over 17 tonnes, litter one of the world's most remote islands, which is reportedly visited only every 5-10 years for research purposes.
