After the President approved the special emergency ordinance for temporarily lifting the ban on Jallikattu, works to clean the Vaadi Vaasal in Alanganallur has started. Following the promulgation of emergency ordinance, it was announced that the Jallikattu will be conducted on January 22 in various places of Madurai including Alanganallur.
