A 23-year-old law student in Kerala reportedly chopped off the genitals of Swami Ganeshananda, a self-styled godman, on Friday. According to reports, the girl had told the police that the godman tried to force himself on her. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan reacted to the incident and called it a "courageous and strong act by the woman." Meanwhile, the 54-year-old swami had refuted the girls claim and said that he "chopped off his sexual organ" as it was "not useful" for him.
