At a time where massive protests have been held across various parts of Tamil Nadu to revoke the Supreme Court’s ban on Jallikattu, the national media broadcasters, such as NDTV, India Today, Times Now and News 18, for some reason continue not to give enough importance and cover the issue. Has the national media failed to recognize and acknowledge the emotion of a state and the interests of its people. Notably, peaceful protests have been held in Chennai, Madurai, Namakkal, Puducherry and various parts of Tamil Nadu over the past two days. Protests have also been reportedly held in London, Melbourne and various parts of the US.
