Following the double century against Bangladesh, Indian captain Virat Kohli, despite staying below Steve Smith in second in the ICC Test rankings, recorded his highest ever rating points at 895. Meanwhile, Murali Vijay and Wriddhiman Saha moved up in the latest ICC Test rankings to 26th and 57th respectively, courtesy of their centuries against Bangladesh. Notably, Kohli now holds the third highest rating points achieved by an Indian player, behind Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar.
