Vaiko’s jail term in 2009 sedition case extended

MDMK chief Vaiko’s jail term in the 2009 sedition case has reportedly been extended by the Egmore magistrate court until April 27. According to reports, Vaiko had earlier surrendered before the court on April 3 and was lodged in Puzhal prison. Notably, the veteran politician had allegedly made a statement in favour of LTTE in 2009.
