US will take action on Syrian chemical attacks if UN doesn’t: US diplomat

Urging the UN Security Council to approve a resolution drafted by the US, Britain and France on the chemical attacks in Syria, US Ambassador Nikki Haley on Wednesday warned that the Trump administration would take action on the issue if the UNSC fails to act. She said, “When the United Nations consistently fails in its duty to act collectively, there are times in the life of states that we are compelled to take our own action.”
