The BJP has asserted that its leader of the Legislative Assembly in Uttar Pradesh will formally be announced around 4 pm on Saturday. According to reports, senior leader Manoj Sinha has emerged as the front-runner for the post, while state BJP chief Keshav Prasad Maurya is among the expected legislators to take over as Chief Minister. Notably, the oath taking ceremony is expected to be held on Sunday, with PM Modi, BJP national chief Amit Shah and many Union Ministers and BJP Chief Ministers likely to attend the event.
