Announcing the 2017-18 Union Budget, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Wednesday, increased the budget allocation for the upliftment of Scheduled Castes to Rs 52,000 crore from Rs 38,800 crore. Further, Jaitley assured to take measures to help SCs and STs, farmers, workers, women and other vulnerable sections.
