According to reports, the Unique Identification Authority of India on Friday filed a criminal complaint against private-sector operated Axis Bank and two other companies for storing Aadhaar biometrics and using them in an unauthorised manner. This comes after UIDAI had found as many as 397 transactions with the same fingerprint. Meanwhile, an official claimed that this would not have been possible without core biometrics being used without authorisation.
