After the Centre proposed to extend Aadhaar-like unique identification to cattles to check cow smuggling the opposition blamed the government for not focusing on serious issues like malnourishment. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said the priorities of the government are completely misplaced, adding, “They are not worried about children being stunted or pregnant women being underweight.” CPI leader D Raja expressed a similar view saying, “these are major policy matters which should be discussed in parliament.”
