According to a court filing, Uber has threatened to fire an engineer accused by Google's self-driving Waymo unit of stealing confidential documents in a high-profile trade secrets case between the two companies. The engineer, who earlier worked with Waymo, is accused of downloading 14,000 confidential files before joining Uber. Waymo has sued Uber over the alleged theft.
