The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has reportedly made a suggestion to the Telecom Department to counter the SIM cards issued through submission of fake documents. According to reports, the regulatory body, in a statement, has recommended an Aadhaar based e-KYC verification process. Notably, TRAI has also suggested making this process optional to both service providers and subscribers.
