Industries department secretary Vikram Kapur on Saturday reportedly said State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu plans to add 50,000 acres to its land bank. He reportedly said SIPCOT had allocated 20,000 acres of the available 24,000 acres to industries, adding, “Land has been the biggest constraint”. Some of the target area will be from Chennai and its peripheries, he added.
