Tamil Nadu government has reportedly sent notices to the owners of BW Maple and Dawn Kanchipuram ships that collided off the Ennore port on January 28, 2017. According to reports, the government, in the notice, has sought a reply from the companies over the volume of crude oil spilled into the sea. Notably, it is expected that around 150 tonnes of oil have been spilled.
