According to a report by IE, TN Chief Minister O Panneerselvam on Friday sacked officials KN Venkataramanan and A Ramalingam, the Secretary I and IV in CM’s Office. Notably, reports claimed that Sheela Balakrishnan,  the adviser to the TN government was also asked to step down forcefully. Further, Hindustan Times claimed that the decision to remove Jayalalithaa loyalists was taken by AIADMK chief VK Sasikala and her husband M Natarajan. The development has come amid reports that Sasikala may soon become the state's CM.
