Former Supreme Court Justice Markandey Katju has reportedly criticised the P Dhanapal, the speaker of TN State Assembly over his move to conduct the Assembly session in a highly inappropriate manner. Katju asserted that the correct approach would have been to hold a secret vote. “But the way the speaker has misconducted himself, whether by design or otherwise, has resulted in total chaos, bedlam, and mayhem in the House. This is the death knell of democracy in Tamil Nadu,” read Katju’s Facebook post.
